Dear distinguished guests, speakers, moderators, ladies, and gentlemen

Welcome to join the 125th anniversary of Changhua Christian Hospital's International Online Conference on Smart Healthcare Technology and Patient Safety. Changhua Christian Hospital was founded by English Rev. C. Campbell Moody and Dr. David Landsborough III in 1896. After more than one hundred years of evolution and growth, CCH has become the most historic medical center in central Taiwan. Upholds the spirits of Christ Jesus' selfless dedication and humble service; CCH continually strives for innovative medical research and outstanding medical quality and provides comprehensive care to our patients.

This year marks the 125th anniversary of CCH. CCH is honored to co-host the "International Online Conference on Smart Healthcare Technology and Patient Safety" with Taiwan Patient Safety Culture Club to celebrate it. Especially thanks to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Thailand, and Changhua County Public Health Bureau for long-standing support to CCH. This time we invite professional speakers from healthcare institutions, industries, and educational institutions in the United States, Japan, Thailand, Joint Commission of Taiwan, and Taiwanese Society of Biomedical Engineering to share patient safety care with the scientific-based approach, innovative technology, and best practices. There will also be an opportunity to network and explore various aspects of the creative ideas in enhancing the international competitiveness of medical quality through this online conference, especially during the post-pandemic era.

We are humble and honor to have the Patient Safety Movement Foundation, 5-Star Hospital Award. The Patient Safety Movement Foundation has presented awards to 11 hospitals worldwide, and Changhua Christian Hospital is the first one in Asia. Sincerely thanks to Dr. Mingi Chan Liao as a delegate of the Patient Safety Movement Foundation for awarding and the encouragement from CEO David Mayer. All the staff in Changhua Christian Hospital will keep devoting to patient safety commitment to preventing harm that occurs to patients.
